Responsibilities : The European Middle-East and African Finance Department is looking for candidates to fill a number of varied and challenging finance roles in its Management Accounting and Financial Reporting divisions. A typical Management Accounting role would be responsible for: - Providing varying levels of counsel and general financial information to operational business groups or factories to assist and/or drive the business decision making process - Ensuring compliance with generally accepted reporting standards and corporate policies to ensure the integrity of external and internal reporting - Responsible for General information and counsel may be provided in the areas of pricing, cost, marketing strategies, return on investment decisions, and the development of overall business plans and strategies - Supporting the business control function by closing the books, analyzing variances and trends, and developing financial forecasts that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization - Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur - Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment A typical Financial reporting role would be responsible for: - Maintaining and analyzing the ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports - Developing and maintaining the policies that govern the Company's reporting process and ensuring compliance with generally accepted reporting standards - Defining the accounting system roadmap and system requirements of the future and assisting or directing system programming resources in the development of accounting systems - Accounting functions may include general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, Intercompany accounting, and payroll - Responsible for the supervision of lower level exempt or nonexempt employees is common among incumbents working in accounting operations - Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur - Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment Specific roles will be determined in consultation with applicants, based on matching candidates skills with current available opportunities.
