EMEA Finance Analyst

Qualifications :

You should possess a strong Bachelor's degree and be comfortable working with numerate or financial principles. You should also be a strong team player and have demonstrated the ability to influence critical decisions and/or problem solving.

Responsibilities :

The European Middle-East and African Finance Department is looking for candidates to fill a number of varied and challenging finance roles in its Management Accounting and Financial Reporting divisions.

A typical Management Accounting role would be responsible for:

- Providing varying levels of counsel and general financial information to operational business groups or factories to assist and/or drive the business decision making process

- Ensuring compliance with generally accepted reporting standards and corporate policies to ensure the integrity of external and internal reporting

- Responsible for General information and counsel may be provided in the areas of pricing, cost, marketing strategies, return on investment decisions, and the development of overall business plans and strategies

- Supporting the business control function by closing the books, analyzing variances and trends, and developing financial forecasts that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization

- Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur

- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment

A typical Financial reporting role would be responsible for:

- Maintaining and analyzing the ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports

- Developing and maintaining the policies that govern the Company's reporting process and ensuring compliance with generally accepted reporting standards

- Defining the accounting system roadmap and system requirements of the future and assisting or directing system programming resources in the development of accounting systems

- Accounting functions may include general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, Intercompany accounting, and payroll

- Responsible for the supervision of lower level exempt or nonexempt employees is common among incumbents working in accounting operations

- Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur

- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment

The purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Marketing Support Manager in support of both Traditional Strategies and Alternative Strategies divisions within this investment manager. Over the initial six to twelve months, this person would develop an in-depth understanding in the investment process, products and obtain knowledge in the asset management industry in general. In the longer term the role will require client interaction with the possibility of sales orientated activities:
